6. Sunset Boulevard (1950)
The movie Sunset Boulevard is a witty satire that seeks to criticize the willingness of Hollywood to discard once-relevant stars who didn’t shine as brightly as they once did. In the movie, its protagonist Norma Desmond tries to trap a young and beautiful screenwriter, thereby accidentally stumbling upon her eerie mansion.
